The person accidental web managers call
Bryan C. Mills founded IE Web Services in August 2005, a web development and digital services firm serving Southern California's Inland Empire and beyond. Since then he has partnered with small business owners, nonprofit directors, startups, and Fortune 500 companies to get their organizations online and keep them there. The work covers websites, hosting, e-commerce, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media, which is why the firm still runs on the same promise it started with: Your Local Business Partner.
A largely self-taught full-stack developer, consultant, and corporate trainer, Bryan wrote his first code in high school. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an F-15 Crew Chief, spending his off-duty hours learning the young internet, and launched his first web venture while a student at California Baptist University. During the COVID years he completed a Master of Science in Information Technology Management, deepening his work in data strategy, process improvement, and protecting the digital assets every organization now depends on.
Most of his clients never planned to manage a website. They inherited one, often along with a sticky note of passwords and a vendor nobody remembers hiring. Bryan's job, then and now, is to turn that moment into a plan.

First Steps for the Accidental Web Manager · Book One of the Web Managers Series
Nobody plans to become the web manager. It happens with a departing coworker, a renewal notice, and a login nobody can find. Strategic Web Management gives that reader what Bryan has given clients for two decades: encouragement that they can do this, and a concrete path of action for every task. Eighteen chapters walk from the first-week inventory through domains, hosting, security, backups, and governance, and each one ends with a toolkit the reader can put to work the same day.

Speaking on online safety and security
While the technology changes every year, the questions people bring to Bryan stay remarkably steady: who owns the domain, where the backups live, and what happens when the one person with the passwords leaves. He speaks throughout the year to audiences who are asking exactly those questions:
Students and parents
Senior citizens
Business owners and chambers of commerce
Nonprofits and ministry organizations
Churches and church staff
For people who can't make a live event, he teaches through webinars, on-demand courses in the Web Managers Portal, and video tutorials.
